Using art to convey compassion and charity to connect the world. In October 2026, children from around the globe will gather in Cyprus to paint the love in their hearts with their brushes, letting art become a beacon of hope.
[LIMASSOL, CYPRUS] – The A Stage for the Future – Painting Love with Childlike Hearts · Illuminating HopeInternational Family Art Charity Festival, organized by the Chinese Women and Children Association (CWCA) in Cyprus, is set to take place from October 17 to 18, 2026, at the Limassol Municipal Garden. The global call for children’s original artwork is now officially open. Schools, educational institutions, art groups, and families worldwide are cordially invited to participate, using art to spread love and charity to light the way forward.
The event is progressing under the auspices of the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus and has been approved by the Municipality of Limassol. It also receives media sponsorship from Dias Media Group, Cyprus’s leading media conglomerate. Coverage across television, radio, print, and digital platforms will amplify the festival’s message of charity, fostering grassroots friendship between China and Cyprus and enhancing international cultural exchange.
Centered on the core philosophy that “Everyone Needs a Stage,” and themed “Use a Painting to Speak the Love in Your Heart,” the festival aims to harness the sincere artistic expression of children to build an international platform integrating art, charity, cultural exchange, and family engagement. Here, people from diverse nations and cultures will unite through love and connect through art.
The festival is now accepting submissions of original children’s paintings globally. Works should explore the theme of “Love” in any medium—watercolor, gouache, oil, colored pencil, crayon, mixed media, and beyond. All entries will be featured in an international charity exhibition during the event. With the creators’ authorization, selected pieces may be included in a charity auction, transforming art into tangible support for those in need.
After deducting reasonable operational costs, all proceeds from the event will be allocated to assisting children and low-income families in need. Following the conclusion of the festival, the organizers will publish a full financial report detailing income, expenditure, and the distribution of charitable funds. Upholding principles of transparency, impartiality, and accountability, the CWCA welcomes public oversight to ensure every contribution is traceable and impactful, allowing participants to witness the authentic power of charity.
Creators whose works are selected for the charity auction will receive an International Arts for Humanity Certificate, honoring their contributions to global philanthropy and the dissemination of love and hope through art. The festival will also host ceremonies to showcase outstanding works and present awards, providing young artists with a platform to display their talent and engage in international dialogue.
Beyond the international children’s art exhibition, the festival will feature a vibrant array of programming: international cultural performances, Chinese dragon and lion dances, Chinese drumming, traditional Greek dancing, children’s artistic showcases, creative workshops, a charity art market, upcycled art installations, interactive family activities, global cuisine, and an Open Stage. Together, these elements will create a international family carnival that blends art, charity, cultural exchange, and family bonding, allowing families from all walks of life to experience the warmth born of creativity and giving.
According to the organizers, Painting Love with Childlike Hearts · Illuminating Hopeaspires to be more than just a festival; it seeks to evolve into an enduring international charity platform rooted in Cyprus yet connected to the world. It aims to give more children the opportunity to express their dreams, more youth the stage to showcase their talents, and more families the chance to feel the power of love through service. Together, we will connect the world through art and illuminate hope through action.
Preparations for the event are well underway, and the global call for artwork is ongoing.
