A promotional event for the fifth volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” was held on July 13 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Participants called the fifth volume an authoritative work that comprehensively and systematically captures the latest achievements of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and helps the international community deepen its understanding of contemporary China. The book elaborates on the distinctive features, practical approaches and remarkable accomplishments of Chinese modernization. It offers important reference for all countries including Kyrgyzstan to explore development paths suited to their own national conditions and provides vital spiritual impetus for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states to deepen political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, and safeguard regional peace and stability.
During the event, the Chinese delegation presented Kyrgyz guests with the copies of the Russian edition of the fifth volume and the Kyrgyz edition of the third volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China.” Participating experts and scholars engaged in in-depth exchange on topics including Chinese modernization, building a community with a shared future for humanity, the Global Governance Initiative, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and exchange and mutual learning among civilizations. A medical worker and a journalist from Kyrgyzstan shared outcomes of practical cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan that align with the people-centered philosophy.
The event was jointly organized by China’s State Council Information Office, China International Communications Group, and the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan. It was attended by nearly 300 guests from both countries, including representatives from higher-education institutions, think tanks, media organizations, and other sectors.
